Centre for Wise Practices in Indigenous Health

“At the Centre for Wise Practices in Indigenous Health (CWP-IH), the team understands the importance of creating a space for Indigenous students to learn and to have valuable work experience in a culturally safe environment. Working with two students from the Indigenous stream of Community Action Projects at the Centre for Community Partnerships, was a wonderful experience and such a pleasure. The report the learners prepared for our project, an Indigenous Rooftop Medicine Garden at Women’s College Hospital (WCH), will provide important information to the hospital’s Senior Leadership about the importance of having an Indigenous Medicine Garden at WCH for the Indigenous patients, staff and the Indigenous community. This partnership provided a mutually beneficial experience for the students and staff at the CWP-IH.”
